Automotive Technology

Students in the Automotive Technology program follow the curriculum of the National Automotive Technician's Education Foundation (NATEF). Students gain experience in steering and suspension, engine performance, brakes, and electrical systems. Program instruction is set up with a balance of lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on teaching on the equipment service floor. Dyno Jet Dynometer, Sun Scopes, Hunter Computer Four-Wheel Alignment, and the Snap-On Scanner are just some of the equipment used in training. Upon completion of the program, the State of Michigan Mechanic's Certification testing is available.
