104.3 WCZY and the Mt. Pleasant Area Technical Center are pleased to announce Kirstyn Phillips, a senior at Mt. Pleasant High School and currently enrolled in the Culinary Arts program, as April Student of the Month. Kirstyn arrives early to class and eager to work. She shows great leadership qualities daily along with an excellent work ethic and always helps those around her to understand the culinary concepts and improve their skills. Kirstyn is continually looking out for the best interests of the Culinary Arts program, as well as those of the Technical Center and MPHS. In addition to her exemplary performance in her technical course, she also finds time to be a valued member of the competitive cheer squad. The criteria used to select the nominees for student of the month are responsibility and trustworthiness, outstanding character and citizenship, initiative and/or leadership in the classroom, excellent work ethic and determination to do his/her best, desire and commitment to improve technical skills and succeed in the CTE program. MPATC instructors nominate students who meet the criteria. WCZY’s selection committee determines the recipient. |
