Pre-Teaching

Christmas Outreach Clothing Drive
The Mt. Pleasant Area Technical Center Pre-Teaching and Early Childhood Education programs are involved with the Educational Leadership Club (ELC). The ELC works on many different community projects throughout the year. This year the students spent one month collecting gently used jeans and sweatshirts for Christmas Outreach. Students from area schools such as Mt. Pleasant, Alma, St. Louis, and Ithaca collected the clothing at their schools. All together 82 sweatshirts, 80 pairs of jeans, and numerous other clothing items were collected by students. On December 7th the donated clothing was taken to Christmas Outreach and on December 14th students who particpated in the event helped distribute the items. Troken Jayqua (St. Louis) and Josh Morros (Mt. Pleasant) co-chaired the ELC clothing drive.
