PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:  The first year course offers the student the fundamentals of welding theory and practical experience in shielded metal arc welding, gas metal arc welding (mig), flux cored arc welding, and gas tungsten arc welding (tig) of mild steel in the flat position.  The second year of the program is designed to train students in entry-level job skills.
