Regional Competition for BPA was held Saturday, January 7, 2006, at Central Michigan University.  Over 600 students from 28 Northern-Lower Peninsula high schools participated in 54 business related contests.

Of the 80 students who competed on Saturday from the Mt. Pleasant Area Technical Center AM/PM chapters, 41 students qualified for State Competition in 28 contests.  The top seven finalists in individual competitions and the top three finalists in team competitions are now eligible to advance to the State Competition in Grand Rapids, March 16-19. 

Mt. Pleasant State qualifers included: 19- 1st place winners, 11 - 2nd place winners, 10 - 3rd place winners, five - 4th place winners, seven- 5th place winners, six - 6th place winners, and seven - 7th place winners. 

Mt. Pleasant also had 14 students receive the Diplomat Award for community, school, and club service.
