29 BPA STUDENTS QUALIFY FOR STATE COMPETITION!

2005 BUSINESS PROFESSIONALS OF AMERICA REGIONALS RESULTS

Regional competitions for BPA were held Saturaday, January 08, 2005 at Central Michigan University. Over 600 students from 28 Northern-Lower Peninsula high schools participated in 54 business related contests. Of the 70 students who competed on Saturday for Mt. Pleasant Area Technical Center AM/PM chapters, 29 students qualified in 45 contests to make them eligible to compete at State Competition in Grand Rapids, March 18-20. Twenty four of those students placed 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place. Mt. Pleasant had six - 1st place winners, thirteen -2nd place winners, five - 3rd place winners, three - 4th place winners, eight - 5th place winners, and four - 6th place winners. (Stephanie Keske took six awards.) Mt. Pleasant also had six students receive the Diplomat Award for community, school, and club service.
